That said, I personally use FireFox, as I gave up on IE several years ago since they still don't have a true multiple document interface (MDI) which causes the browser to eat up an insane amount of memory on your PC.
Chrome is VERY fast, but it also lacks a surprising number of features, many of which help this website to run, which is why you're likely experiencing problems.
I'd try FireFox if I were you -- it's a stable, mature browser, which a true MDI, and runs just as fast (if not faster in most cases, depending on what's being viewed [i.e. flash, javascript, ajax, etc] by the user).
In fact, most of the features you see for IE 9 in the commercials they've been running on TV are *already* supported by FireFox and have been for awhile now.
