Let me clarify my comments... I find Courtney Stodden sad and disturbing. By all appearances, her mother is promoting her celebrity status by allowing her to marry a man almost 3 times her age before she was even 18 and now that she is 18, the mother is shopping around nude pictures of her. I've seen a few videos of Courtney being interviewed where she looks pretty out of it, slurs her words and appears to be making sure that she can still feel her face. To me, it's sad that she's on this path and disturbing that the person who should be protecting her (her mother) seems to be exploiting her.

So, yes, I think Courtney and Doug are gross together. And I do believe she's pretty drugged out most of the time. (Reports from their castmates on the couples therapy show support that belief, in addition to just observing her public appearances.) I didn't mean to imply that you @tempest_driver would drug her, just that to enjoy being with her would require being able to enjoy someone in that state. And honestly, you don't strike me as someone who would prefer a semi-conscious partner over a full participant. I agree, and your views are valid and well considered. I do find it a bit reprehensible that our current culture encourages bad behavior of all sorts by televising what seems to be the worst of America, And on such cable channels as Discovery and The Learning Channel no less. You are correct that I wouldn't enjoy being with anyone in a drugged, or even drunk state.

I do regret any hard feelings that this has caused.
