Wet and oiled, which works much better with shaved. Although maintaining shaved can be a pain, so if there happens to be a bit of stubble, I won't complain. ;)

I went to a female hair stylist once to get a trim/shave (full or partial)
because I let it grow for the entire winter and it got too bushy and thick. She
has a small private room behind her regular work area with a nice big comfy
barber chair that I get reclined on. She is so gentle and very professional

Plus the other reason is that when I work out, since
there is less hair in that area it doesn't produce the
odor that is normally encountered in that area when
there is a lot of hair and the sweat gets caught in it. :)
