Just wondering if people prefer shaven/hairy/trimmed etc?

Interesting as this site is very feminist but I've noticed a trend towards 'bare' girls. (And a dislike of hairy ones) Which isn't what nature intended. ;-) When you look on rate my naughty, the same is true. Even small labia girls with hair are 'marked down'.

I never shave as it irritates my skin. I wax the edges but never to a brazilian (hurts too much and skin is far too sensitive- ends up breaking/bruising.) the rest stays trimmed. I actually find shaved ones quite unnattractive TBH. Like little plucked chickens. ;-) My tufts provide a little bit of cushion (and make my labia look a tiny bit smaller!) Plus the last time I tried to shave was when I had eczema and I was in so much pain, I couldn't have sex.

It's interesting as although I hate my lips, I don't give a damn what a man thinks of pubic hair. Though I shaved when I was younger | no longer feel any pressure to do this at all. If a man doesn't like it he can f*** off! (Wish I could apply the same logic to the longer labia!)

I keep trimmed for odor reduction and shave the bikini line during summer and if I want to wear something slinky for hubby, but definitely prefer to have this short hair! I also prefer to see hair in images of women. I believe that, much like porn has some of us wishing our labia were smaller, and has some men thinking that is the norm, total bareness in porn has pressured us to shave, wax, etc. Going a step further, I believe both of these trends make us look literally more childlike. The association between this childlike and sexy is disturbing to say the least. That is part of why I am here to help myself and others see our longer puffy protruding labia as *the* thing that makes us sexy and sexual women. Boy, I guess I really needed to get that off my chest!! So glad you brought up this topic. Fellas, what are your thoughts?

The hairy vs. trimmed vs. bald question has a few facets to it in my opinion. My favorite is bald. Freshly shaved/waxed. This allows me to see, lick, and suck all over without ANYTHING getting in the way. But I realize that this is not an attractive choice for some ladies for various reasons. In such cases trimmed, or even hairy if your bush is fine enough, is still very sexy.

But to me, none of those is enough for me to give it a second thought. The biggest bush preference for me is wild vs. tame.

Some ladies grow very fine bushes that require no trimming whatsoever. Others, like yourself spend a little time and money on landscaping. And yet others let that bush go wild until they have a jungle that stretches from their navel, down last the asshole and out across the thighs. Now I realize that some men love this, and more power to them. If you like that and your lady has it I'm happy for you're but the pussy I stick my face in. and if I'm going to fuck it I will be eating it first. (Sorry ladies, that's just how it has to be.) I doesn't have to be smooth, but I absolutely need it to at least appear that the bush has been trimmed.

I agree 100% with kitty. I see why 'trimmed' is better for hygeine reasons, particulalry if you're very hairy. But I can't understand the 'bald' or even 'landing strip' thing. They look even more odd- like a little slug crawling up. very strange.

I admit I don't liek mine too hairy but feel this is another 'pressure' from society towards the perfect child like vag. My mum's generation don't shave at all and nobody (nobody) cared in the 1970s- everything was more natural generally, including make up etc...

Also, when people had 'full bushes' nobody noticed labia nearly as much in magazines. I thibk everyone was generally less 'image' orientated. Personally i feel like porn/the media is a male dominated business. It strives to 'normalise' impossible standards for women. (Note in porn, it looks like the girl never even had hair follicles!)

To me this is another way of 'keeping women down'. If they are doing well in life/education/work ridiculous standards of beauty must be set to counter the balance. That's actually a real sociological arguement. i think it's really interesting and potentially very true.

I like shaved and non-shaved. Just depends on how the woman takes care of it. :)

I guess beauty is in the eyes of the beholder !!! I actually like the look of unshaved as much as shaved... after all it is natural and i like that ,also the feel of the hair too..... bear in mind that hollywood porn stars are actresses and they might get lots of hard sex (probably too much !!!) but i doubt that they find real love..... and you never know if they enjoy themselves as much as they squeel on screen bit robotic.... the best is when two people have real intimicy and love eachother and share a special thing and open to eachother without barriers !!! so for me I,ve got no problem if its shaved or not !!!! My two cents: As I mentioned in a prior thread, I find it ALL good. I think pubic hair on a woman is sexy, and I've at times subscribed to sites that feature women who don't shave (though I haven't developed a love for the unshorn armpit). I also have pondered the implications of female depilation driven by male society. Some religions and cultures consider this an imperative. Does this suggest some deep-seated attraction to prepubescent girls? An effort to oppress women? Hell, I don't know. At times I find shaven to be sexy too, especially if it's done well. Yet I harbor no attraction to prepubescent girls, and I suck at oppressing. So I think the jury will forever remain hung on this.

As I've also mentioned somewhere around here, I had a girlfriend once who enjoyed my participation and assistance in shaving. We turned it into a game. It was a turn-on for both of us, and I especially enjoyed kissing and licking the freshly shaved and exposed pussy that tempest_driver discusses above. I think she liked that part too. @ECC22, I also could entirely do without the landing strips, hitler mustaches, and playboy bunnies in that area. I'd prefer anything over that, just make a decision, bald or full. To me, nothing says "I can't decide" like the landing strip. That said, I've been carefully grooming my own hair into a surprisingly lifelike portrait of Fidel Castro, a bit of 'pubic topiary' to surprise and delight the ladies. And since I know you'll ask, I chose Fidel because I found the Darth Vader wasn't a hit. A bit too ominous, I think.

Personally as a woman, I feel a woman has to do some type of landscaping down there. In my opinion it says that you care about your body, whether it's a low trim, a trimmed bush, shave, or wax.

When I see an untamed, navel haired, vagina all I hear is waaakkikkikkiikkikk, in other words, it's an odor infested, tangled, urine catcher vagina jungle. I'm sorry, but that is how I feel. If you like hair down there fine, but a man shouldn't have to weed whack his way through your weeds to get to your hole. It's an inconvenience to him and yourself. And not only for sex, but for a woman's monthly. Whether you are a tampon or pads chick the gunk is going to catch on the hair follicles and become matted...yuck!

My landscaping varies from a self-given bikini wax with a low trimmed vagina, a self-given shaved or waxed landing strip, self-given waxed or shaved patch, and a self-given waxed or shaved brazillian. I know some of you are against the landing strip, and that's fine, it's simply a preference. I like the abstractness that comes along with the shape. For me the strip says, "I'm still a woman who looks out for her partner-clean and smooth." I waffle between shaved and waxed because I'm a do-it-yourself type of girl, and once I got the hang of waxing, their was no way in hell I was paying $50+ for a professional to do it. Plus, with lack of time I can't pull out the wax warmer and carefully maneuver my way through the prickles and small curls.

I will admit though some women go a little too far with waxes for example, Vajazzeling. I mean seriously? You're pretty much bedazzling your vagina. You're taking away a man's chances of really getting wild one night and wanting to either ride you to town or lick you all over. Those beads are no friendly to the tongue and groin area. Besides who wants glue on their vulva? Wax is sticky enough, who knows what the effects of glue will do...

No preference for this man. Although at the time I became sexually active all women had furry pussies--excluding of course, the seasonal bikini shape up. So unshaven was the unquestioned norm. And it's still a major turn on, since it's almost a novelty now.

Ironic, because the shaven pussy itself was a kind of a novelty at first. Interesting. Most men on this site seem to like curvy 'womanly' looking women. I've heard the big nipples thing mentioned before!

My figure is very petite/young/girlish (small hips, nipples etc..) which seems to be a generally popular 'look' with most men. I've had lots of compliments from men on my boobs saying they are nice and pert with nice small nipples. I think that's why I hate my labia so much- it just doesn't match the rest of me!

Even if I had a small one/get surgey I will never shave all my hair off. I def like to keep a bit!
